For the last couple of weeks, I've been relaxing and catching up on sleep. The importance of getting the correct amount of sleep is crucial. Don't neglect it or you'll end up almost falling asleep in the parking lot of Target. I've also finished a painting and worked on a few things for my "life project." I'll update you guys with that later.
Saturday, I spent the morning getting my car serviced and brought my laptop with me. In the span of two hours, I managed to create two new blog posts that'll be up soon. I forgot how good it felt to work out of the house. It was effective that I planned weekly Starbucks sessions to blog. As lovely as my house is, it just has too many distractions.
Sunday, I spent the day with my best gal pal, Krista, in Atlanta. We began the day drinking margaritas and devouring tacos with her friends at Tin Lizzy's and headed over to the Lana Del Rey concert afterwards. I'm so thankful I was able to go see her live. She was beyond amazing. Her concert brought out such a diverse group of people. I just love when that happens. Thanks a bunch Krista!
Focusing on life's positives
Life has many ups and downs. Unfortunately, we place more importance on the negative. I saw this characteristic in myself and wanted to make a change. In 2014, I made a pact, with myself, to be the happiest person as humanly possible. I wanted to smile often, laugh more, and enjoy the time that I have with the people that I love. The last 365 days of my life has been a whirlwind. With work and life issues, it was so hard to remember to smile. In the middle of my sulk session in traffic, I remembered a little phrase, "Life is better when you're laughing." Being happy isn't just an emotion, it's a lifestyle. We can take time out of our day to focus on the negative or we can just live a happy life. I choose happiness.
