Product Review: Curls Blueberry Bliss Control Paste Product Review

Finding products that actually keep my edges on lock is a challenge. It is a plight that I'd like to call The Taming of the Edges. It should be a novel made into a movie with several sequels. My edges like to grow very, very slowly leaving little fly-a-ways sticking up in the air if not controlled correctly. It was a Tuesday and I was in Target, standing in front of the natural hair section, looking among various products that claim they could tame the wild beast that lines my forehead. Out of the bunch, I pick up the Curls control pastes.

The Curls line is a brand I've never tried before. The inner product junkie told me to pick up both. My wallet was like, "Nah girl, you good." At the start of my natural hair journey, I became a product junkie out of pure excitement and curiosity. $300 down and a few months later, I swore off any new products for the sake of my sanity and savings account. Since I hadn't gone ham with products in awhile, I gave myself a little treat. Hey, it was a good Tuesday, okay? Turn up!

Curls has two different control pastes. The first is the Passion Fruit Curl Control Paste and the second, the Blueberry Bliss Curl Control Paste. Both of the ingredients are beneficial for natural hair. Since I'm having problems with my edges, I opted for the Blueberry Bliss which is formulated with blueberry extract, argan oil, shea butter and mango butter.

The paste held down my edges and gave them a beautiful shine. I also love that the ingredients include silk amino acids, hydrolyzed quinoa, and jojoba esters. Argan oil promotes hair growth by nourishing the hair. Jojoba oil helps to grow hair, smooths hair and its compounds are similar to the oils found naturally on our scalp. It has a light blueberry scent that reminds me of the raspberry (blue) Jolly Ranchers.

Overall, I really enjoyed this product and have been using this every since that Tuesday. If you want shine, hold, and a beautiful scent, I would definitely try this out!

Not sponsored, yo. But if you want to drop this girl some cash, Curls, I wouldn't mind. :)
