Summertime and the living's easy. That's my vibe for this season. Let's be real. That's my vibe for every season. If you didn't know, I work a 9-5 at an agency, so I have the luxury of wearing whatever I want during the week. My go-to is the easy classic tee and jeans combo. It's the perfect outfit for all seasons and I can dress up or down depending on what I need to do after work.

When it comes to the fall season, I am as basic as it comes. I live for the cool air, the comfy over-sized sweaters, suede and PUMPKIN SPICED EVERYTHING! PSL gives me life. Don't act like you're not the same. So, it's only right that I go on a shopping spree for my favorite season essentials. I actually didn't even go to Bath and Body Works this time. *pats self on back*

I don't know what it is, but I can't get enough of floral, cheetah, and stripes. This particular morning, I woke up feeling a bit festive and decided to rock three favorite prints. Pattern mixing is easy to do when you stick to a monochromatic scheme, which is also my favorite.

Music Festival Fashion Basics

Hello, hello! I'm back after a much-needed breakaway. Awhile ago a lovely reader asked if I could share outfit inspiration for festivals and amusement parks. I didn't forget about you. :) I actually filmed a look book, but I hated how it turned out. Blogger probs. My last post, How to Survive Music Festival Season, never explained fashion choices, which I think is the most important part. Coachella is known for their fashion. Mainly due to a number of celebs who attend and also because of the freaking hot weather in the Indo valley. Coachella might be over, but there are loads of other festivals to attend.

The Minimalist

A few years ago, you couldn't convince me to purchase anything without some sort of bright color, gaudy decoration, and/or complex pattern. I'm talking about multicolored birds overlaying a pattern of swirls on my Forever 21 blouse. Like all young women, I went through a series of fashion phases, some which you would give me a side eye if I walked out of the house in it today.

This new phase of my life is what I call the cool plain Jane, or the minimalist look ,which features structured pieces, solid colors, and classic styles. As the self-proclaimed lover of classic, I can't say that this minimal phase is new. Ever since I discovered the elegance of Jackie O and the Queen B herself, Blair Waldorf, I couldn't but help love a freshly pressed white oxford.

As I get older, I am understanding the importance of well-crafted clothing that can carry me into the next decade. Stores built on expediting trendy clothing are fun for experimenting, but I want clothing that has a shelf-life of over 4 years.

Every season, designers display their collections which will eventually trickle down in to every department store and boutique around the world. If you can't afford a $5000 dress, you'll be able to afford the cheaper alternative at H&M, Zara or Forever 21.

Being in Atlanta again has awakened my soul. I forgot how much I missed being in the hustle and bustle... and traffic of Atlanta. I spent the past 4 years here every day at State.
