Let me just start off by saying that I, Janetta LeRose am a hoarder. I hoard hair and beauty products. I can't help it. Every time I pass an Ulta or Sephora, I feel it is my civic duty to stimulate the economy by purchasing things I don't need.
These product are items I've purchased numerous times or use every single day. If I run out of anything from this list I'd probably go a bit crazy.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup
This foundation is everything. It's hard for me to find a foundation that I really like, so when I purchase one I tend to repurchase it over and over. So far, I've purchased this twice.
I love how light-weight it is. It really gives me a nice glow without making me look oily. The formula has a natural finish, yet blurs my imperfections. I would say this is a light to medium coverage.
MAC Select Cover-Up Concealer in NW45
The Select Cover-up is a beauty staple among many. It does its job well. I'm in the shade NW45 and it blends in perfectly with my skin tone. It is a tad bit creamy or oily so you'll definitely need to set it after use.
On lazy days, I find myself using this to cover my imperfections, setting with a translucent powder, and walking out the door. It's perfect for the no-makeup-makeup look. I find that it blends in the best when using your fingers or a damp beauty blender.
Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser
After watching many beauty gurus on YouTube rave over how amazing this product is, I decided to give it a go. And to be honest, it's amazing.
I have pores around my nose and under my eyes no matter how much I clean and attempt to close them. The silicone texture glides over every pore, filling them in and allowing my foundation to blend in seamlessly. Since it is Maybelline, it is very affordable and worth the try.
MAC Strobe Cream
I purchased this on impulse during one of my MAC binges. I've tried luminous primers before, but none takes the cake like this one. This is worth the splurge.
The cream glides on and gives a lovely lit-from-within glow. It's packed with vitamins and green tea which brightens your skin. I apply this after moisturizing and before foundation to feel like Beyonce.
Make Up For Ever HD Pressed Powder
Setting is pretty standard if you want to remain oil-free throughout the day. The powder is extremely fine and sets my foundation and for a long-lasting finish. The formula has an airbrushed effect and doesn't give you that white cast in pictures.
Black Radiance Pressed Powder
For contouring, I use this cool-toned powder to give my face some definition. The powder applies very well with my Real Techniques contour brush. It is buildable and pigmented.
Milani Baked Blush
Milani is a genius for these baked blushes. One swipe of your brush leaves you with a flush of gorgeous color. Red Vino is a shade that would look beautiful on every skin tone. The hint of gold that reflects on your cheeks gives you a subtle highlight.
Milani Easybrow Eyebrow Mechanical Pencil
I can't leave the house without my brows on point. I shape and groom my brows with this handy eyebrow pencil in the color dark brown. The pencil is creamy and long-lasting. I love the double ended wand which allows me to fill in the brows and blend the pigment out with the spooly.
Benefit Watt's Up Highlighter (Travel size)
If you're into golden sparkle highlights, then you'll love this product. I apply this using my fingers due to the extreme pigmentation. It looks beautiful in the inner eye corners, on the cupid's bow, and of course, on the cheek-bone.
MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot
This is the best eye shadow primer of life. If you have any eyelid pigmentation, this will cover it right up. There are many shades in the paint pot line. Painterly is a popular one. Layin' Low is dark enough to look natural yet bright enough for colors to pop.
Paint Pots are thick eye shadow bases that glide over your lids to give the shadow something to grab on to. It is long lasting and worth the splurge.
Urban Decay Naked 2
Holy grail. Holy grail. I use this palette everyday. The palette contains matte and shimmers, which in true Urban Decay fashion, are extremely pigmented. Looks great on dark skin tones. Perfection. Need I say more?
Physicians Formula Eye Booster
I love that this is safe for sensitive eyes. I always have a problem with beauty products that irritate them. The formula claims to grow lashes, yet I haven't noticed much of a difference, it does give me a crisp black wing.
Hang-Up is deep Merlot that is perfect for fall. The creamsheens glide on and are long-lasting. MAC lippies are pretty much a staple in every beauty-lovers makeup bag. I find myself reaching for this every time I wear lipstick.
Milani Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss
This lip gloss smells like chocolate and raspberries. What more could a girl want, right? These babies will cost you around $5 and are vegan which is a steal considering how silky and pigmented they are. Compared to most lip glosses, this formula glides on similar to a lipstick.
These are my favorite beauty products so far. A lot has changed since I post about my favorites on my old blog. I also filmed this and should be on my YouTube channel sometime soon.
