How to Be a Boss from These 7 Inspirational Girl Bosses

Where do you get your inspiration from? For me, a major source of inspiration comes from other women. There is a preconceived notion that all women are unable to support each other due to jealousy. Don't let society tell you this is how you should feel. Instead, take their accomplishments and figure out how to apply that to your aspirations. Let their drive influence you. I love women that have zeal for their work. Nothing's wrong with owning your shit. And no, you're not bossy, you're a boss.

If you need you need some inspiration to keep you motivated, here are some quotes from my favorite boss babes.

Shonda Rhimes

"Dreams are lovely. But they are just dreams. Fleeting, ephemeral, pretty. But dreams do not come true just because you dream them. It's hard work that makes things happen. It's hard work that creates change."

The queen of Thursday night television inspires us all to work for your dreams instead of wishing for them to happen.

Diane von Furstenberg

"The biggest mistake a woman can make is to not be herself in public or private."

The iconic DVF inspires us to always be our true, authentic self.

Michelle Obama

"When you've worked hard, and done well, and walked through that doorway of opportunity, you do not slam it shut behind you. You reach back."

The gorgeous FLOTUS reminds us to help and inspire others.

Ellen DeGeneres

"Follow your passion. Stay true to yourself. Never follow someone else's path unless you're in the woods and you're lost and you see a path. By all means, you should follow that."

The hilarious Ellen inspires us to create our own path.

Misty Copeland

"You can do anything you want, even if you are being told negative things. Stay strong and find motivation."

The amazingly talented dancer and first African-American principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre will motivate you to keep going despite what others might say.

Oprah Winfrey

"Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another steppingstone to greatness."

The queen of television inspires us to remain regal and accept failure as a pathway to success.

Beyoncé

“Do what you were born to do. You just have to trust yourself.”

You can't have a list about inspiring women without including this fierce lady.
